Sonnet 28/01/01                        DXXXI

How can I verses find but not love claim
From within heart, without some word to base
My visions on? Can dreams remain the same
With no reply? Am I to future face
With no sign of your smile? I can but ask
For indication of your mood, to show
Some guidance to my verse. Does silence mask
Wish to be left alone? If so, bid go
And I will flee. You control my vision,
As my light: Without, I see only dark
Demented dreams. I wait for decision
With hope that I might in words find some spark.
Though you seem to by silence verse refuse,
My dreams have visions of you now, dear muse.
