I have skunks down. Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover sprayed on the part of the dog that got hit, usually the face, chin, or neck (skunks can aim and are accurate). I don't even bother to bathe the dogs when I use this stuff, forget the baking soda and peroxide recipe. Just use it repeatedly, and it works best if you don't get the dog wet at all. The last four episodes the dogs haven't been hit, the scent just hung in the air for a while.

The big freezer looks good and I'm using a few of the things I took out while I was organizing the contents. I've moved a shelf up so I have room for a turkey or three, and some of the little things are ingredients. I had the ends of a couple of loaves of French bread that I sliced thin and toasted in the oven and will grind up with some oregano and garlic for bread crumbs. A couple of things thawing may be way too old, but I'll see once they're defrosted.

The garden where I worked is beautiful today, and I can feel it in my back and butt, all of the digging and lifting. I'll do some more today, and I'm going to dig the iris out of one bed. I'd rather put in crops there and the variety is a short dull yellow that is my least favorite. I'll take some to work for folks who are looking for anything to plant, and I'll put some in the back to stabilize the bank over the creek.

Laundry is finished, a loaf of bread is in the machine kneading and I'll bake it in a regular pan later. I have started freezing half and that works well when it's just me in the house. A batch of pizza crusts are in there and I'll probably make a batch of tortillas today, use a couple and freeze the rest. They are so superior to the store ones with all of the preservatives.
