Things here have been crazy busy with preparations for Jeremiah's Open House/Welcoming Party. Yesterday morning was spent decorating the Parish Hall and the guests started arriving around 1:00. The party was to be a short affair, lasting only until 2:30 as I thought the baby would just be tuckered out from all the activity and people. Around 40 people came and the last guests followed us out at 4:30. We all went to my Mom's house, the baby took a nap, my nana took a nap and I ran to town to pick up dinner. At 7:00, my entire family went to church and Jeremiah was baptised...it was an absolutely beautiful service. Jeremiah didn't cry at all when water was put on his head but he DID make dirt bike sounds during the prayer and continued to sing long after some of the songs had ended. :) We had a beautiful cake after church and the entire congregation stayed to celebrate with us just a little bit longer. :)

So....this is a long way of saying, I decluttered my digital camera and had a 100+ prints made up, matted them and hung them around the parish hall so folks could share in Jeremiah's life from the very start.

I wish that some of you lived closer....I would have invited you in a heartbeat!!!

Today we decluttered my car and Pete's car from the many gifts and spent this morning opening presents, making a thank you list and then finding spots for new toys, clothes, diapers, formula, etc. Dishes have been done, laundry is in the process and I finished reading The Good Earth today while Jeremiah napped.

Activity? I'm pretty sure I walked a few miles yesterday running around the parish hall getting things up, setting up tables, chairs, running back and forth to the kitchen and wandering around talking with everyone. And then there was the cleaning up last night too.

I am tired today, my hips are sore and I've pulled something in my stomach (too much moving of stuff probably) and I am happy, happy, HAPPY. I count yesterday as one of the best days of my life.
