Kate Smith's rendition of "Coming In On A Wing And A Prayer" is, I think, much more poignant and stirring than Bing's.   She conveys the story with much more feeling.
She also changes the title line, in one place, to "Coming home on a wing and a prayer," which adds to the sense of joy and relief at the flyers' safe homecoming.
