Wow, been there for sure gnu. These big guys follow the salmon in and feed on the roe. What I like is this , I go down a very steep hill to a small creek. Busted me arse a couple of times getting down there. No one fishes it ... kinda like my private fishing hole. Out of the way and not easy in or out.   Nobody thinks these big guys can get up that small creek ... Ahhh yea they can, But trying to play a fish this size running up and down the creek is a battle. He can break you off hitting rocks and tree limbs and every other darn thing in that little creek. There are places the water has to be 2 inches deep ... then a couple of holes, 9 ft and then long stretches of 5-6 inches. This guy was under a ledge in about 3 ft of water and headed right up to the deeper pool like a rocket ... maybe 20 yards from the mouth of the lake ...
