Hello my name is Darius Raul Romero,
I am the son of Raul Romero who is the third son of Rafael Romero, the man of the corrido. It was really nice to have stumbled across this website. I was a bit confused about everything so I found out from my dad and after much debate we figured things out. From the beginning, Juan Romero Duran, had a son who was Rafael Romero Romo, he had four siblings the eldest being Rafael Romero Hoyos, the owner of Zaino and the one from the corrido. There were three other sibings Adalberto, Hector, and Ofelia. Adalberto passed away about two years ago and theres two living Hector and Ofelia. Rafael Romero Hoyos the man from the corrido and who is also my grandfather married Maria Durazo Coronado and they had nine kids Rafael, Rebecca, Raul, Ricardo, Rodolfo, Ruben, Reynaldo, Regina, and Rosella. Rodolfo and Reynaldo have passed away. My great grandfather, Rafael Romero Romo, had two brothers Francisco and Antonio and three sisters Margarita, Lola, and Fidela. To answer your question my grandfather was born September 9, 1914 so if the guy in the picture was in his early twenties that must mean it was my grandfathers dad Rafael Romero Romo. I am sorry to here about your father I will let everyone know that he past away. If you have other questions please feel free to email me at darius8686@hotmail.com.

In regards to Rodolfo Ornelas my dad remembers your father very fondly but they have not communicated in over 25 years. He says that it would be nice to reconnect. He came to start practicing here in Phoenix, AZ. My email is darius8686@hotmail.com
