Subject: RE: Lyr Req: I Would Be True (Howard Arnold Walter)
I believe there were two stanzas in the original H.A.W. composition, though lately I've seen some "thirds." Last June I added an even another third in connection with my investiture as president of a small college in the southern Philippine island/region of Mindanao (the name of the college is Gingoog Christian College in Gingoog City, province of Misamis Oriental. This is a voluntary commitment that I divide my year: June-November here, and December-May at home with my family in Oregon) Here is my humble suggested "third" stanza:

"I would be bold to face each new tomorrow;
I would be ready God's will to obey;
I would be keen and kind in joy or sorrow;
I would serve God each day in every way;
I would serve God each day in every way."

I remember in my childhood and youth that this hymn was a favorite most especially at dedication services, often sung as Hymn/Song of Dedication. My hair still stands on ends whenever I sing it or hear it sung. Thanks.
