On a serious note, IMO, two things one can do that may mean something to for you, your kids, and your grandkids or theirs.

1)Determine what $ you need and pass the rest on to others (whomever) when you are alive. You can put a few controls on it, offer advice (if appropriate), see the appreciation and the good it does...someone may even ask your opinion on how to spend it.

2) Your greatest gift could be sharing your lifetime experiences? Not just the complex stuff,but in dealing with friends, neighbours, love ones, work mates, others with whom you shared good times and hard times.

Write it down, and let people know where it is...in case they or their kids want to get something from your life experience and enjoyment of life.
