i love indian food,the hotter the better. i like it hot enough to make your scalp sweat--then your almost high likea drug. better than a sauna for the constitution.
free trade? they already have abooming internet tech support sector that we already use. it could threaten manufacturing jobs but it coud also facilitate hi tech indo/canadian ventures. there are a lot of well educated indians in canda happy to do indo/canadian ventures here. most i know prefer to live here so are happy to bring projects to canada.
time will tell but my hope is we actually get tech jobs that are better than the maufacturing and get further from our reliance on exports to the usa. the americans may be sinking for quite a few more years and could take us down with them if we don't find foreign alternatives.
i point out that this was one of th five points that were the foundation of the liberal party doctrine for the future from 1963. to take controll of our own ecomomy and seek "third option" trade to increasr our independence from any one nation.
walter gordons first budget aimed at this was unfortunately howled down by the media nad business people who werre are are too tied to the us. so maybe after all these years this will be a boon
