Some time ago, someone posted a list of tunes in the concertina.net forum which they claimed formed the core of "any English session".

I think they should have said "Any southern English session" or some such as only about 1/4 - 1/3 were tunes I regularly heard played at sessions in this corner of NE England.

There is no doubt that "standard session repertoire" varies quite considerably round the country.
