During the summer when I was still 61 I was carded at a grocery store that sold wine and beer in Lenox, MA. They had just carded the woman in front of my who looked only a little younger, so I think they card everyone. I don't get carded here in RI.

When my son was 19, he married a 29-year-old woman. One night they went out with members of her family, all visibly of drinking age. Knowing he was underage, my son ordered a Roy Rogers which, like a Shirley Temple, contains no alcohol. The waitress came back with a Rob Roy! My son realized it was a mistake and had her replace the drink.
