I'm waiting for the phones to switch over. I called Sprint this morning and they said my cable company doesn't have folks who do this on the weekend, and the records show the switch will be completed by Thursday midnight. She said not to call the cable company about the cost of Internet alone until after the switch - if they shut down the phone they'd mess up the change that can only happen with an active phone.

I'm looking forward to a couple of simpler bills. I may only save $15 a month, but I'll have less grief. The telecommunications aspect of the bill (lots of state and federal laws are involved) means it can have a lot of slack and the cable company abuses that slack. If any of the rest of you are thinking that you only need a cell phone but would like to use normal phones in the house, look up the VTECH LS6245 Bluetooth Cordless Phone and you'll see what I'm doing. I already own a couple of the cordless phones that work with this.

I did a major important backup of my computer hard drive today. Copied the data and documents onto another external hard drive. It was past time to do this.

Laundry is in washing, it's a gorgeous cool sunny day out, so though I have to sweep and mop and do some scrubbing, I'll also spend some time in the yard.

I have one item to ship tomorrow for eBay; that compact never went past the first bid, which is a disappointment. I'll find something else to list this evening to keep up the momentum.
