Have you noticed that many authors have just ONE masterpiece in them and spend the rest of their lives trying to live up to that one book.

For Heinlein it's - "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress"
For Tom Sharpe it's - "Wilt"
Desmond Bagley - "The Golden Keel"
Brian Callison - "Trapp's War"
Norah Roberts - "Hot Ice"
