I watched the first half and gave up !!!

England were shocking. They lacked the speed of foot and thought to be able to even compete with the French.

As has been said above they did not appear to even have the ability to pass the ball accurately. Some of this was no doubt due to the inability to run a nd find space to be in position to receive a pass. Hence having always pass backwards.

Carroll did do quite well but as Rooney and others have found before him, you can't be left alone without any support in Internation matches.

Back to the drawing board Mr Capello.
