Thread Name: What about your favourite waltz then?
Subject: RE: What about your favourite waltz then?
Kit,

I had my first look at the sheet music for Kate Martyn's Yesterday. If you can play that (with the grace notes) on the accordion, you are no beginner. I'm still trying to recover the brain cells I lost when I tried to play that piece.

Here's my favorites for accordion (so far):

The Dancer, by Larry Unger
Metsakukkia (Trad. Finnish)
Pernod, by Johnny Cunningham and Michael O'Domhnaill
Plum Creek, by Grey Larsen (This is a wonderful piece, but I'm having trouble with the basses on it because he uses some very unusual chords)
Viimeinen Valssi (The Last Finnish Waltz - Trad. Finnish)
La Valse Des Jeunes Filles (Trad. French)
John's Waltz to the Miller, by Tony Trishka (this one has some tricky chords also)
