Hi there and welcome to Okehampton,
I have just taken over the Folk Session in The Devonshire Arms in Sticklepath which is 3 miles away from Okehampton. The sessions have a long tradition of music and song; Dartmoor-based, but all welcome into a "characterful" old 16th Century pub. This is the first Sunday in each month from about 8pm.

The Wren Trust runs sessions in The Fountain, in the middle of Okehampton on the last Sunday of each month ( same times).          Some of the same friends/singers/players, but each has its own character and direction. Bill Murray is also now running a session in the Kings Arms in South Zeal (4 miles from Oke) on the 2nd Sunday of each month which I gather is going well, but I haven't been able to get there yet.

So, lots going on in Folk Performance down yer on Dartimoor.
