About the hoop house...I'm not sure how it will hold up in harsh weather...we're looking at this as an experiment.   Here ordered special plastic (made for such a thing) and we'll be using 2x6s for the base and the frame will be made of PVC (schedule 40 which is flexible and strong). Then it will be anchored down probably in 8 spots vs each corner as we live on a mountain top and get hellacious winds from time to time (one time we were sitting on the front porch and we watched as the wind picked up my 50 pound kayak, spun it around and dropped it back down to the ground).

So...the plan will be to get it built, let it sit for a few days for the inside temperature to rise and then put some of the seedlings out for a test run. Meanwhile, we have flats of little cold crop veggies growing in our living room!! :)
