Isn't it nice when you can get those kinds of chores out of the way? That gate will look new to you for weeks now.

Took bags of paper and plastic recycling down to city hall, where they have expanded our village program. I usually take it to Fort Worth's program, but this is a bit closer. These were the grocery bags that built up in a corner in the laundry room, but it is reduced to a reasonable number and I've moved an extra box and a couple of bundles of paper bags out of there also. And done a load of laundry.

Making room in the fridge tonight. I'll cut up and freeze several bags and bowls of peppers and consolidate a few things. This will make it much easier on Thanksgiving.

I took about a pound of the berries off of my purple chaste (vitex) tree up to the neighbor who has been buying these to make into some kind of potable tincture for an estrogen replacement. She's going to see if she can use these (and last summer I gave her one of my potted vitex volunteers, but it isn't big enough to produce many berries yet. It is beautiful out in her yard, though.) I also took her some peppers, herbs, and tomatoes.

I'm working on the kitchen and getting the living and dining areas cleared in advance of Thanksgiving. Nothing on to watch, so I'll put in my NetFlix movies that have been here forever.

Accountability-wise, the dogs and I went for a walk this evening. It was very pretty out, and there were lots of premium squashed acorns on the road for the dogs to munch.
