Traditionally there is a difference between twat and twit. A twit is considered an unthinking, brainless, ditzy ignoramus. A twat, on the other hand, among the coarse intelligentsia is a part of a human female's anatomy, comparable to a prick. May I ask that we use 'twit' when that is what is appropriate.
