I am a PhD student at NUI Galway working on research concerning Irish songs and ballads and am looking for people to participate in focus groups to be held on Saturday, 27 November, 2010 at the Centre for Irish Studies, Distillery Road, NUI Galway. There will be two groups held on the day: 10:00 and 3:00.

The focus groups will involve listening to songs/ballads and responding to them through a questionnaire, as well as participation in a discussion group afterwards. No previous knowledge of Irish songs/ballads is required.

Interested participants must be either Irish born or have resided in Ireland for 5 years or more and have at least one Irish parent. They must also be 18 years of age or older.
