Thread Name: Lyr Req: Are You Kissing More Now (Homer & Jethro)
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Are you kissing more now (Homer & Jet
The song was surely inspired by an advertising campaign for Camel cigarettes that used the slogan "Are you smoking more now but enjoying it less?"

Billboard magazine, from August 18, 1962, reviews a single by Homer & Jethro called ARE YOU KISSING MORE NOW (BUT ENJOYING IT LESS) (Lyle-Hollyjo, ASCAP) b/w SHE THINKS I DON'T CARE (Glad-Jack, BMI) – RCA Victor 8075.

Allmusic.com also says that ARE YOU KISSING MORE NOW can be found on the album "The Very Best of Bill & Boyd" (2003). I transcribed the following words from a sound sample of that recording:

...but I heard a report
Things are not as great as you thought.
Are you kissin' more now but enjoyin' it less?
Do you find there's somethin' missin' after ev'ry caress?
And if the pleasure's not there like you thought it would be,
Well, you can't switch back to me.

You go out with guys,
And you....
