i think its a good idea. Recognition of good work in difficult circumstances done in the community.

the Lincolnshire towns that i grew up in have changed a lot in character since I was a boy and a young man. Even back then the churches were turning themselves into curators of ancient tradition (there are so many old and beautiful churches in Lincolnshire). That's the great temptation.

nice to hear of the church taking a compassionate interest in the parishioners struggles through the ice and snow.
