Lobster Salad was (and still is) a traditional Newfoundland recitation with original versions likely originating in Ireland at least a few hundred years ago. Joey Smallwood's version is a song and unfortunately I think is far inferior to the original recitation format. Although hearing it played on Jiggs Dinner, I figure not everyone holds that view.
