Back in 1976 we were up above the treeline in Washington state. At a senic overlook we noticed that as the air crossed over the ridge it turned into a cloud. As we turned around we saw our shadows on the cloud newly formed about 100 feet below us and our shadow was surrounded by a perfect halo of a rainbow.
