Subject: BS: HELP 92 yr old w/ acute eczema
Hoping someone can offer up some advice. My lovely father in law has been suffering with acute eczema over the last 7 or so months. He has cut out all his normal treats. Last few months the normally chipper, sharp gentleman has been feeling very low. No sugar, no alcohol, etc. which is probably contributing to the low mood.

There have been no changes in laundry soap, but mum in law now double rinses all clothes, bed and bath linens to be safe. Docs not able to give much relief for his eczema, still trying different things. One thing will start to give relief then stop working.

He also is suddenly very sensitive to cold. Can't keep his body temperature up to normal.

Last week the cold thing got to him so bad that he fell down upon rising from chair and could not get himself up off the floor. Mum in law called paramedics who got him up, checked him over and left. He has prosthetic leg since WWII and recently (last few days) experiencing pain in both hips.

He has promised me that he will go to doc this week if he does not feel better soon.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced these symptoms or knows someone who has. Or if can suggest something to at least sort the eczema as he is in misery with the itching and burning skin.

Just breaks my heart to know this lovely chipper gentleman is suffering and feeling so low.
