I have heard that borage cream works well (from a woman who was a naturopath/therapist) - borage oil is manufactured as starflower oil and comes in capsules.

I've used neat vitamin E oil direct on patches of psoriasis for my partner, and it always clears up pink and smooth(I understand that's not the same thing though).

Or you could bathe him in oat milk and smother him in a poltice of cold porridge..

For bacterial infection in skin, manuka honey is supposed to be good. Aloe vera gel is very soothing too. I make it into a kind of 'mayonnaise' slather for after-sun, by adding lavender oil (anti-bacterial/promotes healing) and wheatgerm oil (vit e).
