What can I say, LH?   My 'yardstick' is whether and how much a gag or movie makes me laugh, and I still laugh out loud at "Airplane." If it didn't grab you the same way, that's life.

FWIW, The Pink Panther movies were laugh-out-loud hilarious to me when I first saw them but not so much the second time around, and even less so on subsequent exposure to them. That's also true of parts of "Airplane," but some parts still make me laugh.
