Caught a toddler! We had a fund-raising volleyball game when I was in nursing school, (yeah). I wasn't much of a player, and the ladies looked better, so I hung out on the sidelines. I heard yelling, and looking up, I saw a little kid swinging from the railing of the balcony fifteen feet above. I watched as he let go, directly above me. I didn't have to move, I didn't have time to think. I caught him in a perfect "cradle" position, and rolled from standing onto my back to further cushion the fall. The kid was 18 months old, and had wandered away from his parents. He was OK. I was stunned.

The next day in school, I was presented with a baseball glove, and an award, (from the nursing dept), as the school's best catcher!
