Oh, man, I meant to post this and didn't get to it yet. Thanks so much, Becky! Yes, everything is gone- there's a tiny pile with a charred autoharp, one silverplate coffee pot, and a few broken mugs. That's all that's left. Where the house was is a black spot on the ground.
I am privileged to be part of the group that is spearheading efforts to help Mary. I am collecting cds by/from musicians who know and love her- she lost everything, and at the moment doesn't even have a cd player. If you would like to contribute a cd, please PM me.
A benefit concert is being considered for the near future. Stay tuned, and again, PM me if interested!
Mary's kids are with her now. She is moving (for the winter) to a cozy cottage by a lake just a mile or so from where her house was (there is a cd player in the house; I checked with the owners!). The local community has really come together to support Mary and her family- she will be well cared for this winter! If you would like to contribute money, there is a fund here: Community Church of Harriville/Chesham Canal Street, Harrisville, NH 03450 Please indicate designation to Mary DesRosiers
And there's a Facebook group with some info here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mary-DesRosiers-Rising-from-the-Ashes/175284202501731
I was at the house site today delivering a meal, and spoke with her son Conor. He says they are holding it together, and they're doing ok, and really grateful for all the love and support.
