A friend came over for dinner tonight; he was the partner of my long-time hairdresser who died about 3 1/2 years ago, at the very young age of 45. Somehow that death brought us together as close friends, and though he's in love again (and it is good to see after grief for so long!) he's still one of the most supportive people in my life. Tonight we enjoyed a simple meal and told stories of events that normally might have been difficulties, but they were told in a way that found the underlying humor. Laughing until you might pee your pants is excellent for your health!
