Ah, Petaluma, often referred to locally as "Chick-a-luma". My Mom actually graduated highschool there! At one time it was the egg producing capital of the Western US! There are some interesting stories and history about Petaluma. Check the net.

I seem to remember Snoopy ( of Charles Schulz fame [who as longtime resident of Santa Rosa]) entering the wrist-wrestling championship there.

Believe it or not, for a while my Gransmother lived in Santa Rosa and a certain Luther Burbank would walk by her house to admire HER garden! Grandma gardened all her life and was a marvel at making things grow.
