Does anyone else recall the boo-boo made by a well-known US singer {who shall remain nameless here} about 20 years ago, who recorded a song she called The Brown And Yellow Earl, together with an earnest sleevenote [it was back in vinyl days] about the heraldry involved and the history and the state of the English nation at the time of said Brown·And·Yellow·Earl. One of my very fave mondegreens.
