Ok, so this actually started last night. When I arrived home after work at approximately 5:30pm my street was blocked off due to a water main break which turned out to be just feet from my front door. I had to sneak in through some side roads to even get to my apartment building. The crew was there all night long which was a real joy (obviously I had no water), especially around 3am when whatever they were doing was making the entire building shake. They were still there when I left at 6:45am but at least I had water this morning and was able to get out to come to work.
Now that's bad enough, but as I was getting out of the shower I heard my cats screeching and howling at something. I got into the livingroom to find they are all staring at the ceiling because something is moving around up there. I watched the ceiling tiles bounce as whatever it was made it's way all around my apartment. I was just a little freaked out. So I get dressed and decide I have to know what I'm up against. I had visions of a giant raccoon up there, ready to eat my face as soon as it could. So I get up on a chair and lift one of the ceiling tiles, making noises hoping to catch sight of whatever is up there. After a couple of seconds a face appears - it's one of my upstairs neighbors cats!! How the HELL it got in my ceiling I don't know but it scared the Bejesus outta me at 6am. I now have living proof that LOL Cats "Ceiling Cat" really exists.
I'm glad to be at work where it's quiet!
