Last year at almost exactly this time WE had a water main break that tore up the entire street and brought giant diggers and paving trucks for days!!

Then, two years ago, we actually had a mother raccoon and several young in our attic. Rather than fight, or spend several hundred on professional trappers, I waited till all were 'out', and found the loose board where they snuck in, and quickly tacked chicken wire over it.....now in the Spring, I need to tear out and replace rotten board and repaint the place.

It shouldn't be hard to find where cats can get in....there are often small openings between neighbors attics. The real question is how the cats got into THEIR ceilings.
