I really hope to meet Ernie, the "weiner dog" one of these days...I love friendly dachshunds...I will bring Ernie a piece of a real weiner, which should arouse him out of his customary torpor in no time flat! I know dachshunds...they will eat till they fall down and die, if given the opportunity. Well, at least till they feel like they are going to die...we had to take Oscar to the vet one time and get his stomach pumped out after he devoured about 8 pounds of old rib bones and bacon grease he found in someone's garbage...it was pretty awful. After a couple of days resting, however, he was all ready to do it again at a moment's notice.

No self-control whatsoever!
