When I was little I used to leave out a glass of sherry a mince pie a Quality Street chocolate, some nuts and a carrot for the reindeer. One Christmas morning I howled the place down because everything else was gone but mean Santa hadn't picked up the carrot for Rudolf. Shame on him!
