Its not so much . that i look to these guys to analyse my life and problems - like I did when I was a kid. or perhaps I looked to their words like a mantra.

I suppose whats fundamentally depressing is the grandiosity of the language. I guess they were a bit like Dylan thomas's pub conversations - hypnotising at the time and place. but after closing time, out in the real world, they didn't have any answers.
