I remember driving back to Leeds one snowy Sunday night from Whitby fortunately I got stuck on Blue Bank so I headed for Thirsk instead. Just got through when they shut that route down. The good thing was that if I had got up Blue Bank I would have been stuck because they shut the A64 down. You can't mess about on them Moors in bad weather.
