Things are not working out the way I'd planned. I was making candied pecans this morning, and I scorched them. Not so bad that it set off the smoke alarm, but too "crispy" to take to the party tonight. Now I need to figure out something else.

It's still only 21F (-6C) so I have no interest in going out, even though there is only one week left until Christmas.
