Subject: RE: Tech: Internet Browsers
Often times the AOL screen appears and takes over the whole screen. You may not realize that in the Windows environment you can have several windows open, and you don't need to have them full-size on the monitor. Having several smaller windows open makes it easier to find desktop links and move between other windows.
If you're using a Windows computer then your browsers all have similar icons on the upper right corner. The X closes the window (and all tabs you may have open in that window). The middle icon is (in this instance) is one that shows when the browser is open to the entire monitor. When you have a window filling the entire monitor, you see the double box symbol: toggle that and it allows you to reduce the window size. If you always have your window wide open, then you won't see much change until you drag one of the other corners (sometimes you'll find a little rough looking spot, but if you get the double-arrow pointer when you move over the window corner, that means you can resize the window. Then put your pointer on the blue or other color bar at the very top and you can move the whole window and place it where you want.) Browser windows typically re-open later in the same state they were in when you closed them last.
