I remember this song being sung by Max Bygraves on the Archie Andrews show back in the 50's... the last lines being ".. I'll make more money from this dum dum dummy, than Brough ever made from you"
The Brough being the ventriloquist Peter Brough and the dummy was Archie Andrews.
I still laugh thinking how can you succeed as a ventriloquist on the RADIO?
