My wife gave me the DVD of Chasin' Gus's Ghost and I just watched the show. I enjoyed it and will watch it again, soon. As a documentary of Jug Band Music it has it's moments and it has it's warts as well. I think it could stand be re-edited and compressed for content a little. But I think it needs to be seen if only to see Fritz Richmond, and if you knew who he was, say good bye.
The moments with Fritz in his final days are inspiring and ultimately heart breaking.

The time spent with Geof Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, and John Sebastian are moments well spent. But there isn't enough music from them, just samples. And Geof's good bye to Fritz needs to be heard completely
in this context with no voice over.

As a documentary on Jugband I think this is a good start.
