You apparently are not listening to the many Dems in Congress who are saying the same things, GfinS... They are fighting to get just one minute of microphone time but the corporate media is hoggin' it for the FOX Noise machine... The Big Three (ABC, NBC and CBS) are all being led by the nose by FOX Noise...
That is the reali9ty... It isn't that every danged Dem in Congress is some corporate whore 'cause most of them have been trying to get the story out...
Just because you are unwilling to educate yourself by watching the only outlet for the truth, MSNBC, doesn't make you any less "part of the problem"... Reality is that the Republican Party is going to try to dismantle the New Deal... Their 35 year old strategy of "starving the beast" has the federal government on life support... That is reality...
What is not real is the PR bullshit that the Repubs have crammed into your head that we are over-taxed, over-governed and over-regulated 'causde none of those things are true... The Repubs have spend hundreds of million$$$$ of $$$$ to plant those lies in people heads...
We pay less in taxes than any developed/industrialized nation in the world... We are the least governed and the least regulated...
And isn't it curious that while the Repubs have been busy starving the beast that:
1.the actual wages of the working class have been stagnant for the last 35 years while those of our competitors have increased...
2.the US has gone from 1st in science in math to 23rd
3.the infant mortality in the US is 27th
4.we pay 17% of our GNP on health care compared to an average of 8% that out competitors pay but don't have decent health care except fort the rich
5.that our national debt is $1.4T, which is higher than the next 10 countries debt combined
Yeah, the reality is that the battle lines are being drawn right now... The Repubs are poised to do exactly what their daddies and grand-daddies couldn't do: kill off the New Deal!!!
This ain't no time for rationalizations and excuses on why you don't think you have to do anything, or even spend the little tiomje it takes to be educated on what is happening and just who are the folks fighting the good fight, 'cause there are plenty... If you are waiting to hear them on CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox Noise then the battle will be over before you realize it even began...
Like I said, "Yer either part of the problem or yer part of the solution".... Remaining uninformed = part of the problem...
