I will never forget the interview he had with a schoolboy on his "Living with Lynch" radio show. Joe would always ask the child to tell a story and this particular child told of a horse that ran away from a circus that came to town.

   In all the confusion the horse apparently fell into a deep hole, a quarry I assume.

   They couldn't get the horse out so they had to shoot the poor animal.

   And said Joe to the child, " did they shoot him in the hole"?

   Oh No sir the child said, they shot him in the head!
