I asked Morgan back over this morning, bright and early. I wanted to watch the Mousehole Cat with him, then maybe do some other things over here. We watched it and he loved it, same as before, then I couldn't stay awake! I've been up and down at night, for various reasons, and falling asleep during the day, trying to catch up. He was going to go home, but I was really sad and, sensitive that he can be, he offered to stay until lunchtime. He did and we had fun, after I slept a tiny bit. He went home after lunch, which reminds me, I need to do some laundry.

After he left, I was more awake, finally, so sat down and paid a few bills, one of which gave me great pleasure. We have a local hospital which assigns a new acct. number every time someone stubs their toe. Each time we see the doc who is affiliated with them and for whom they bill, they assign a new number, for that visit, then send out a bill with a return envelope. It drives me nuts, because the bill is usually for less than $25, but they get caught up between insurance payments, etc. so I will get eight of them all at once, in their own envelopes, each with a return envelope. And, they cry about the cost of doing business! So, today, I added all eight up, wrote out one check, stuffed that, with the pay receipts and ALL of the return envelopes in a manilla envelope and am sending it out, tomorrow. I just hate to see the waste. It's a stupid, inefficient system. Also paid the lights and gas, so, for once, we will be starting off the new year all caught up on bills. Phew!
