Well, erbert, I've actually been to a couple (all in a main-stream church, incidentally, performed by the regular, ordained pastor of the church--Lutheran, incidentally--where the idea was to sanctify and solemnize the union, whether state law recognizes it or not) and they were just as serious as any hetero wedding I've ever attended. Including my own (to a woman, incidentally, just in case you're wondering). And the people attending were just as serious and respectful as any wedding congregation.

Any other kind of behavior strikes me as simply adolescent.
