I don't doubt your statistics, but I think they would look less flattering for England if we looked at the stats for the last forty years, which is the time that I have been aware of the rivalry. I think a lot of the way you perceive these things is a result of when you were born. For instance, there are kids in their twenties today who are unable to remember the time when England last beat Ireland at football!
