Does Adelphi have a web site? I'd like to get the Holy Modal Rounders stuff. Also, who is Lucky Dog? I was lucky enough to get the two O'Kane's CD's you mention as punch outs at a downtown record store for (get this) $1.00 per disc! These are truly fine recordings - great vocals, great "roots" arrangements, great writing. . .
Haven't heard any of Jamie O'Hara's stuff, but Dead Reckoning is an unbelievable collection of creative artists. Although you preface this thread by saying "not folk" I personally think the recordings you're talking about here carry on the tradition. The emphasis is on strong songs - the type that speak to all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. This is not "product" and it merits listening and support.
