Just got back from Chris's funeral.

The weather was dreadful - sleet and snow on the way there and thick fog on the way back - so the gathering was small. Nonetheless we did manage to give him a decent sendoff. Carol was magnificent and gave us all a warm welcome.

We were at a "grand" funeral yesterday where they held a full requiem mass lasting an hour and a half, loads of flowers, incense etc. Chris's funeral was far more relevant to Carol and Chris and altogether warmer (in every sense) "do".
