Red Kirk was recording country music in the late 40's and early 50's when I suppose record labels were asking the question, "Can you sell this stuff?" Well, we know the answer to that now. I worked with Red at a car dealership in KIngsport in the 90's. I feel lucky to have known him. He talked about doing barn dances in the old days with people like Archie Campbell. Red died some years ago, and he is a great loss to country music and I will always miss him.
